Oracle Training

Abacus Concepts has been teaching Oracle technologies since 1999. Our senior technologists have been teaching since 1996. Abacus Concepts is not a training company but a database consulting company. Who else would be a better trainer than somebody who does database work for a living?

To best suit the market need for Oracle training, we have developed the following tracks and the courses within them.


Oracle: DBA Certification Track

This track offers classes that allow the student to take Oracle Workshop I and II certification exams.

  • DBA Concepts
  • This course starts with an introduction on computer and database technologies, how database function, how to design and build databases. Followed by SQL and Procedure language PL/SQL. SQL sections covers DDL, DML, DRL, Subqueries, Joins, etc. Finally, we introduce Unix system and how to use Unix to access and use databases.

  • DBA Foundation
  • This course covers all the topics under Oracle 10g/11g Workshop I Certification exam.

  • DBA Advanced
  • This training covers all the topics under Oracle10g/11g Workshop-II certification exam.

One of the most challenging job for a DB administrators and management is tuning database and SQL. Abacus Concepts comes with many years of performance tuning experience that allows it teach these topics from experience.

Oracle: Data Warehouse Track

Data Warehouse are large databases that are different from regular OLTP databases. They need to be designed differently, setup and administered differently, and there are different query tools for them. We teach classes that cover the foundation of data warehouse concepts, tools, and administration.
